In preparation for Rowcroft Hospice’s ‘Sleep Walk’ women’s-only charity night walk event, the Rowcoft team have begun selling promotional merchandise and giving out their famous training t-shirts. Sarah popped down to the wonderful surrounds in the bay to pick up her shiny new tee only to find not just Barbara promo items galore, but a special appearance from the Sleep Walk mascot herself!

The success from the promotion of the event has seen 1800 walkers sign up in 2 months with over 200 on their waiting list ? great news!

After completing the branding, advertising, website and promotional materials for Rowcroft Hospice’s sponsored Sleep Walk event, it’s great to hear the support has been fantastic with spaces filling fast. On his radio show, Liam at Riviera FM chats to Laura and ‘Barbara the Sheep’ from Rowcroft Hospice, who were in to promote the Sleep Walk, taking place this summer. Have a listen to the rather surreal interview here: http://liamgilsenan.podbean.com/

South Devon’s Rowcroft Hospice is an independent local charity, heavily reliant on the funds raised by the community it has served since 1982. As a company we have been supporting Rowcroft through their charitable events for many years so it was a great honour and a privilege to be selected to create the new campaign website and associated printed media for their latest fundraising venture, The Sleep Walk.

The Sleep Walk is a sponsored night walk open to all ladies aged 12 and over and will take place on the 9th of July 2011. There are limited places, so anyone interested in participating should sign-up online now.

Creatively this was an exciting project, as although the branding had already been created around their mascot ‘Barbara the sheep‘, Rowcroft required a look and feel, that was fun and fresh and unique to this event. We were asked to move away from dark skies and glitzy sparkling stars, as this had been done before, so we came up with a theme based around pink stripey pyjamas, pillows and patchwork quilts.

Thank you to everyone who donated to our ?Go Yellow? fund raising campaign in aid of Rowcroft Hospice ? it?s been a fantastic success!

With your help, DNA raised £876, that’s 125% of our £700 target! As promised, when we reached each donation target, we underwent a forfeit – the last of which was a Banana Skinny-Dip in the sea! You can see that video as well as Jim?s deadly Banana Yellow Smoothie task and Paul?s ?Banana & Custard? Gunging below as well as on our DNA Advertising YouTube Channel! Our donation page is still open if you would like to contribute, again a big thank you to all who already have. Until next year…

As you all know, we’ve been ‘Going Yellow’ to raise money for Rowcroft Hospice. Reaching our 2nd donation target of £400 meant that our Creative Director Paul (Jim was back in London – blast!), had to undertake TASK 2: ‘Banana & Custard’ -The Yellow Gunge forfeit! Turn up your speakers and enjoy! Thank you for donating, we’re still taking donations… http://www.justgiving.co.uk/BLOGDIRgoyellow.

You can find out more on our dedicated GO YELLOW page.

It’s that time of year again, when we at DNA humiliate ourselves in silly outfits in an attempt to raise money for Rowcroft Hospice.  For this year’s ‘Go Yellow’ day (March 31st) we are going to be performing a series of challenges IF we reach various levels of donations. Our tasks are likely to be uncomfortable, embarrassing or frankly ridiculous – your job is rather simple…

Pledge at our ‘Just Giving’ page here and make sure that we reach the donations required for us to make fools of ourselves. We’re determined not to be branded as Yellow Bellies so after we’ve endured a task we’ll be uploading hard proof ? pictures or video updates ? on the Go Yellow blog page… Be sure to check back often. The final £1000 Challenge will take place on ‘Go Yellow’ day itself and is certain to be quite the feat. Stay tuned for challenge updates!

Come on, let’s beat the £700 raised by us last year! – Visit: www.justgiving.co.uk/BLOGDIRgoyellow

From everyone here at DNA, we would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to those who kindly donated to the Rowcroft Hospice appeal. ‘Yellow Day’ was a fantastic success thanks to your support, and after a top-up from us, the grand total raised was an impressive £700! So thank you for your generosity; we really appreciate it, and we’re certain Rowcroft will put to good use.

Yes that’s right, as part of our ‘Go Yellow Day’ for Rowcroft Hospice and in a bid to get some last minute donations, resident Iron Man (Jon) was sponsored to travel home by public transport sporting his full outfit. With last minute donations coming in and hitting our online target of £200, there was no getting out of it. Thank you to everyone for their support and enjoy the pictures! Remember, you can still donate at www.justgiving.com/BLOGDIRadvertising.

With time running out, we’re urging everyone for their donations and have taken to the streets of London in the hope of creating awareness of the Rowcroft Hospice ‘Go Yellow’ Campaign. Iron Man has even revealed his secret identity for the cause! The dare to Jon (in the Iron Man suit) is to travel home by public transport in his outfit… However, we need to get the ONLINE total to at least £200 on http://www.justgiving.co.uk/BLOGDIRadvertising before the day is out! You know what to do!

To support Rowcroft Hospice’s “Go Yellow” campaign, DNA are asking friends, clients and suppliers to sponsor the team to wear various ridiculous yellow outfits during our very own Yellow Day – Friday 3rd April! We will let you know how we get on and put pictures here on our blog. So if you’d like to see the team transformed into an array of yellow themed characters ranging from Ali G to a chicken, but more importantly contribute to a worthy cause, please dig deep and donate a little something if you can. Whatever we receive in donations, DNA will top up.

Please go to http://www.justgiving.com/BLOGDIRadvertising and support Rowcroft Hospice. Thank you.
