This year, in aid of Rowcroft Hospice’s ‘Go Yellow’ fundraising event, DNA are hoping to raise money by enduring another feat of human endurance! Yes! We’re rowing from Dover to Calais, and back. Okay, so we’re not actually braving the chilly waters of the English Channel but we’re doing the next best thing… Over approximately 15 hours, the DNA team will be taking turns using an olympic standard rowing machine to travel the 60 miles to and from the sunny shores of northern France – non-stop! That’s right! And better yet, just to prove that we’re really going for it we’ll be streaming the whole event LIVE! You’ll be able to watch, listen, comment and even drop us a music track to workout to when you donate over £10 on our Just Giving page.

Our challenge runs from 6.30am ? 9.30pm on Friday 1st April – This Friday!… (or until we reach our target mileage). Be sure to tune in and watch by clicking here (or on the top menu) and visiting our dedicated ‘Row Yellow’ page.

Why wait? Please give a little to this fantastic cause now. Let’s get the ball rolling!

We’re chuffed to announce that DNA have been selected to design and build a new website for the London Trocadero following a recent pitch process. We will be working with London real estate firm Criterion Capital to create a new online presence for the Trocadero and implement a new social media and content strategy as part of their rejuvenation plans for the centre. We’ll also be working closely with the Trocadero tenants such as Cineworld, Funland, HMV, The Rainforest Cafe, Starbucks and Ripley’s Believe It or Not!

On hearing the news that we’d been awarded the account, Jon just couldn’t stop himself from doing a celebratory dance on one of the Trocadero’s dance machines. Check them mad skillz!

Since Microsoft allowed developers to legally hack their Kinect and its software, there have been lot of interesting experiments…

This one utilises a 3D user interface, controlled through ‘touchless’ interaction. The flakes adjust their size and perspective in relation to the position of the viewer in the room. The snowflake can be moved with a simple wave of the hand and new snowflakes can be generated with a two hand gesture. But where’s the holographic tennis player from Total Recall…?

Spring may seem like a while off yet, but this is the busiest time of year for our client Stiga mowers who have just launched their new 2011 campaign. For the first time they are running a price based retail campaign titled ?mulch better mowers at much better prices!? The brief was to communicate the high quality brand values whilst clearly stating the individual product features and savings to be made. Materials for the project consist of in-store posters, leaflets, product price tags and press advertisements for National and Regional press. Coming soon to a distributor near you?

Children’s author Michael Morpurgo has scripted an animated promotional film featuring Tom Daley, Phillips Idowu and Ellie Simmonds. Olympic organisers have stepped up attempts to generate £1bn in merchandising revenues by launching a flagship store at Heathrow’s Terminal 5 and unveiling an animated film featuring the 2012 mascots and a string of Team GB athletes. Committee chairman Lord Coe said: “The film and new website games will continue to engage young people digitally, whilst the mascots continue to visit schools and communities across the UK in the run up to the Games.” Article from guardian.co.uk – read more

I personally prefer the stylised and polished look of the much shorter ‘The Best of Us (IOC animation)‘ from 2019 – but each to their own. It’s definitely worth a watch.
