Don’t rock the boat

As part of ‘new DNA recruit’ Vicki?s introduction to Princess Yachts International, and to refresh our knowledge base for new advertising concepts, Matt, Jon, Paul and Rich joined Vicki on an exclusive guided tour of the vast Princess production facilities in Plymouth. Based on various sites throughout the city, the epic design, creation and construction process blends the very best of true traditional craftsmanship with leading-edge technology to produce yachts of unprecedented quality and elegance. We also took the opportunity to discuss exciting up-and-coming projects that are all very hush-hush? we?ll keep you posted.

When appointed by British Ceramic Tile as their chosen design agency, we were delighted to get stuck into our first project which consisted of designing and print managing their new retail brochures. The brochures were introduced to highlight the new tile ranges, brought to the market to offer the consumer a wide variety of styles to suit a range of interior looks and tastes, whatever the budget.

The design and layout of the brochures is consistent with the new corporate branding, and each introduce one of the 7 new ranges; Whites and colours, Rustic, Textures, Dartmoor Naturals, Urban and Elgin. These ranges work within British Ceramic Tile?s 4 collections; Essentials, Living, Inspirations and Designer. For each collection we created individual sub brand colours and logos to differentiate the hierarchy of the products.

We are currently working on the Designer collection, which consists of the Conran and Laura Ashley ranges so watch this space!

DNA have recently been working in partnership with Torbay Council to promote their latest creative projects? Antony Gormley?s Field for the British Isles will be the centrepiece of a year of contemporary art in the ancient setting of Torre Abbey in London. Perhaps most famous for his giant sculpture, Angel of the North, Gormley?s Turner-prize-winning Field series is a startling and arresting sight: 40,000 unglazed, fired, small clay figures, standing closely together, all staring towards the viewer. The exhibition is free and open from 27th June ? 23th August 2009.

Futher promotional material has been created for the Torre Abbey Contemporary Open (TACO). Set alongside Gormley?s installation, TACO will continue to showcase exceptional art in the Southwest region at Torre Abbey. It?s open from 16th July ? 31st August and well worth a look!

Following an assessment by an independent body, DNA is proud to have been awarded ISO 14001 certification. The ISO 14001 environmental management standards exist to help businesses minimise how their operations affect the environment and to promote and establish good eco-friendly practice. Now with the award of ISO 14001 certification, the way DNA conducts business with regards to environmental matters has been confirmed by outside experts who are used to judging standards on a daily basis in a wide variety of trades and industries. This certification has only been achieved by less than 1% of UK business and this prestigious award is supported by the Government and recognised world-wide.
